Rules

Bitgrid is a grid of 0s and 1s to complete. Each grid has a single solution, found by logic, never by guessing.

  • As many 0s as 1s in each row and each column.
  • Never three 0s or three 1s side by side, in a row or in a column.
  • No two rows are the same, and no two columns either.
  • The daily grid is the same for everyone in each difficulty, renewed at midnight (Paris time); only your first try of the day is ranked.
  • The free run gives a new grid every game; your best time of the day counts.
  • The clock starts when the grid appears and does not stop, even if you leave the page. It stops when the grid you send is right; a wrong grid only costs time.
  • Tap a cell to go from empty to 0, then to 1, then back to empty. With a keyboard: 0, 1, the arrows and Delete.

Bitgrid: the rules in brief

Complete the grid of 0s and 1s: as many 0s as 1s in every row and column, never three identical digits side by side, never two identical rows or columns. Every grid has a single solution, with no guessing.

Bitgrid: how to get better

  • Close the pairs first: two 0s side by side have a 1 on each side.
  • Count the 0s and 1s of a nearly full line: the rest follows.
