Rules
Minesprint is a minesweeper played against the clock. Open every cell without a mine: each number tells how many mines touch its cell, diagonals included. Everyone starts from the same cell, already open, and every field can be finished by logic alone, without ever having to guess.
- The daily challenge: one field per size (beginner, intermediate, expert), the same for everyone, renewed at midnight (Paris time). Only your first try of the day is ranked; one mine and it is lost. The next ones are practice.
- The free run: a new field every game, as many games as you like; your best time of the day counts.
- The clock starts when the field appears and stops at the last safe cell opened. The server opens every cell and keeps the mines: the time counted is its own.
- Week: each day, your rank in the daily challenge gives points (25 for the first, then 18, 15, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, 1, and 1 point for every other ranked player).
- With a mouse: left click to open, right click for a flag, click on a number whose flags are placed to open its neighbours. With a finger: long press for a flag, or the Flag button.
Minesprint: the rules in brief
Uncover every cell without a mine: each number tells how many mines touch its cell. The day's field is the same for everyone and is solved without ever guessing; three sizes, from beginner to expert.
Minesprint: how to get better
- Place the obvious flags around isolated 1s first.
- Look for known patterns, like 1-2-1 against an edge.
