Rules

Swarmcount measures your eye. A swarm of dots shows for 600 milliseconds, then vanishes: type how many there were. Your error is the difference from the right count, relative to that count (saying 45 for 50 dots is a 10 % error), and counts 100 % at most. After 15 swarms, the smallest total error wins; on a tie, the fastest.

  • Daily challenge: the same swarms for everyone, renewed at midnight (Paris time). Only your first run is ranked; the next ones are practice.
  • Free run: new swarms every game, your best run of the day counts.
  • Leaving or reloading the page during a swarm counts its full error.
  • With the keyboard or the number pad: type the number, then Enter.

Swarmcount: the rules in brief

A cloud of dots shows for 600 milliseconds: say how many there were. Fifteen clouds; the smallest total gap wins.

Swarmcount: how to get better

  • Count a small corner of the cloud, then multiply.
  • Trust your first impression: the cloud doesn't come back.
