About Neurostim

Neurostim is a personal brain games site, online since 27 February 2008. Since October 2026 it has been a speedrun site: every day, the same challenge for everyone in each game, and a leaderboard to compare yourself.

The story of the site

  • 27 February 2008: the site goes online, with three training modules, mental math among them, and a tournament mode.
  • May 2008: two memory training modules.
  • Summer 2008: the global test, leaderboards by département, region and country, then duels between members.
  • From 2009 to 2025: the site stays online almost unchanged; more than 4,600 members signed up.
  • October 2026: a new, rewritten version, then the "speedrun anything" overhaul: 24 quick games, a daily challenge in each, in French and English, playable without an account.

What the site holds to

  • The same challenge for everyone: the grid, the words or the targets of the day do not depend on the player.
  • The timer kept by the server, and checks against cheating, set out in the speedrun FAQ.
  • No account needed to play and be ranked; an account keeps your results if you want one.
  • No ads and no third-party trackers: the site only loads its own scripts.
  • Games, not medical tests: a score measures neither an IQ nor an illness.
